Solidly made with good features but average overclockability.
Recently we switched out an i5 2500K for an i7 2600K in our main rig and needed a new motherboard for the i5 which was to go in the family pc. It was replacing a Q6600 and we had some spare ram lying around so it was a no brainer. The z68A-GD55 B3 was very cheap refurbished so cost was a factor at just £48 delivered ! The only problem i have with this board is the way it delivers volts on a manual overclock. You would need a very good after market cooler or live in a cold climate or both to get an i5 2500k much past 4.4ghz. We have ours set now at a very safe 4.2ghz however the chip used can overclock stable in the right board to well passed 4.8ghz. I've had it prime stable at 4.8ghz with temps never getting higher than the high 60s. Not in this board as the way it delivers the vcore and handles the vdroop is terrible. You have to load the manual voltage higher to get the same results due to the droop. To be fare you can get overclocks up to 4.5ghz within acceptable levels with water cooling but not on air. Hence 4 out of 5 but otherwise a very sound board for the price !
