Rings simply do not work!

Just simply doesn't work. I have tried adjusting these rings from tight to so loose that the flag sags in the middle, and nothing makes these rings do their job. Every day I am stuck uncurling my American Flag the same if not even more than prior to putting the rings on the pole. To me, these rings are a total waste of money and time as they simply do not work.
