Mini Micro Small Wood Coal Log Burning Stove Peat Multifuel Burner Heater Best
12 Oct, 2022
Small but well made and proving useful.
I'm rating this based on the product and on the well written description the seller included which made clear the limitations - this is not a heating or cooking appliance. What it is, is a small (like very small - I've never before described a wood stove as 'cute') stove which can take wood up to 50mm (2") diameter and about 150mm (6") long comfortably. Any larger and it will not burn well. With smaller pieces it can burn quite fast and generates a fair amount of heat, enough to boil a kettle or provide heat for outdoor work. It could even be used as an alternative to a chiminea in a small space, though it burns a little too quickly for this purpose. I am using it to generate heat and hot water for growing plants in an outdoor nursery and it will do that well. It is solidly made and looks like it will last much longer than the paper thin alternatives I have seen. There is one thing which could be improved - I am using a stopper on the door as it only has two positions, in the open position, embers can fall out of the door, and in the closed position there is too little airflow - though this might improve when I get a better flue (see below). Tips for use - an extended flue is definitely needed, I have extended mine with 1 metre of stainless steel tube, this improves the draw greatly and also stope the smoke blowing into m,y face when using. I am intending getting a further extension to 2 metres which should imrpove the draw. I also found that boiling a kettle is much easier if you remove the lid and sit the kettle directly onto the stove. This will mean the open flame against the base of your kettle though so make sure it is a kettle for use on open fires. All in all, a great little product, just don't take it indoors.
Adafruit NeoPixel Digital RGB LED Strip - White 60 LED - 1m - WHITE [ADA1138]

An amazing product. Well worth the money
A few years ago I thought about the possibility of creating a string of twenty RGB LED lights with each one invividually addressable. Back then it required a number of microcontrollers, plenty of software and hundreds of wires. Not to mention a lot of soldering and effort. Not any more. This string of 60 LEDs can be individually addressed and every single light can be set to any of thousands of colours. Just as a toy it is incredible, but this can be used for so much more: Signalling, mood lighting, Party lighting effects, a gigantic VU meter! Personally, I will be using this as a decorative light in my daughters bedroom, something she is very excited about. Just a small note (and the reason I gave it four stars) I am powering this from a BBC Micro-bit. This uses 3.3v and will not drive the signals for this when connected to a 5v supply. However, the strip still works well when running from a 4.0v supply, so you may need to buy a converter of some description to get it running.
NIGHT SABRE Discreet Slim Floodlight Outdoor LED Security Light Motion Sensor

Looks well made and weatherproof.
So far, this product has been quite impressive. Good light output from a small size, but most importantly it looks well made and weatherproof - we've had a few floodlights fail due to water getting into the sensor. Time will tell if this is true, but first impression is good.
