High performance synthesizer

I purchased this unit for parts to repair another one I purchased earlier. It was easy to swap out the defective module, and I also replaced the dead lithium backup battery, and now it’s good as new! I’ve already used it to identify a minor problem with my spectrum analyzer. A valuable addition to my home electronics lab. Caution: the 8642B weighs a massive 88 pounds, it’s built like a battleship!

Attenuation has never been more fun! I’m an attenuating fool with two, count ‘em, two HP 355C attenuators. They’re perfect for all my attenuating needs. If you have something that really needs attenuating, buy two attenuators and attenu-enu-enuate till you just can’t attenuate no more!
