Hyper X Savage 480 GB Internal Solid-State Drive Bundle with Caddy / Clone

Great upgrade from existing hard drive
I bought this item to replace the non solid state drive in my laptop which was rapidly approaching the end of its limited lifespan after seven years faithful service. After a little research on the internet I decided the Hyper X Savage had the best specification in terms of read and write speeds and power consumption at the time of writing (Summer 2016). Note the good power consumption rating if the battery life of your laptop is important to you. This bundle kit is the better buy rather than just the solid state drive only option for only slightly more money - with the bundle kit you get the tools and bits you need to transfer your existing hard drive data and files over to the new one. You get a pretty cool screwdriver with multiple heads and spare screws and mountings for installing the new hard drive which is great as well as the cable and enclosure for the data transfer process. I chose to buy the 480gb version as this would be plenty of capacity for my current and future needs. The hard drive I was replacing was only a 160gb. An important note here is to make sure you buy a hard drive with enough capacity for your needs. Having watched the instruction video on the SSD section of the kingston website I was ready to swap the drives over and the process was straightforward and painless even for someone like me with limited knowledge about computers. The acronis data transfer software worked fine after successfully downloading and installing it using the links provided in the box. The new solid state drive fitted perfectly in the hard drive compartment and has been working very well. I also got a Hyper X sticker in the box which my laptop now proudly wears alongside the existing manufacturer ones! I would definitely recommend this product.
