Looks and sounds great!
1 of 1 found this helpful Very easy to install - instructions were very simple, took about 45 minutes to install without a helper. Be sure to have some Blaster or penetrating lube onhand for the old clamp and exhaust joint. Also, use some liquid dish soap on the existing rubber isolating mounts - they require a lot of prying and "pursuading" to remove. Do the passenger side first, then the other. After the mounts are unhooked, be prepared for a good upper body workout as you twist and rock the old muffler off the exhaust pipe. My vehicle only has 22K miles so 'actual mileage may vary' -- be patient.
The looks are amazing - it doesn't hang down like the stock unit so it's less likely to get hung up on obstacles.
The sound is NOT loud or obnoxious - it's a subtle change. A little more boomy resonance just off idle, but not intrusive above 2K rpm. Definnitely noticeable at full throttle but fairly tame at highway cruising speeds. You can still listen to music and carry on a conversation. If you're looking for an aggressive tone that turns heads and scares small children, look instead at the Competition Series, or headers and a cat-back design. I wasn't looking for that raspy, rice-burner sound. I have the 6-speed manual, so this unit just allows me to rely more on my ears to shift and provides a more engaging driving experience.
