This light is great. It is smaller than it looks in pics which is great since my firearm has a 4" barrel. Extends maybe 1/2-3/4 inch past muzzle. The light is a lots brighter than expected after reviewing other light and the candle power of them. I felt this light would be perfect for in home protection. I had mounted it on firearm and did a clearing of rooms with light on or off as I entered rooms as a test. I'm not convinced that brighter would be better. Still working on a way to manipulate the switch and still have good weapons grip. They all seemed to have the same type of switch though,grip switch option would be nice? Overall great little light,brighter may cause some unwanted glare/reflection/flashback in small room/house. P.S. If I decide I don't like it, I'll put it on the wife's pistol !!!!
