Really sollid with a lovely marble top.
The definition on the iron casting isn't great, but it's OK; everything else is excellent. The base is heavy and solid and because it's been cast in just two (heavy) pieces it's absolutely rigid. The marble top is up to the same standard; overall a practical quality piece.

Concese summary but covers in bome deapth
As someone new to penmanship I found this concise book really useful. I wasn't particularly interested in writing wedding invitations, though for anyone who is, it's a great start; would definitely recommend.

Not cheap but value for money.
It gives a good strong and even light; it's compact and well constructed. I don't use it that often so I've fitted Li Iron batteries which combined with the low demand LED bulbs should last months, even years, without the need for new batteries.
