There’s a glitch!!!!!!

We purchased this game for my 9yr old son who wanted to play Minecraft with his friends online. Followed the instructions to the letter, tried to join/connect with his friends online, message said “unable to join”. We have a valid Microsoft account and internet speed and connection is fine (yes we have checked the obvious). Reading online, the latest update for the game causes this issue as there’s a glitch! Not happy at all, it’s akin to buying a car and not being able to use reverse!!!!! Please don’t waste your hard earned money until this is all sorted out. Microsoft have made millions from this game, the least they could do is provide a fully functioning product.
