Not quite what I was expecting!
It is a good idea and works well with compatible 3D CAD & Design packages or Google Earth. The mouse itself feels very robust and well built and it is a lot heavier than expected.
To my disappointment it does not work with the free version of Google Sketch Up. Also I was expecting that when you are not using it as a 3D navigator that it could be used as a basic mouse for cursor control on the Windows Desktop. Sadly the Windows driver which comes with the unit does not allow this which I think would be quite a useful feature.
However, under Ubuntu Linux, the generic drivers recognise the device and DO allow it to be used as a basic mouse. Very Useful! If the manufacturers made this simple tweak to their Windows Drivers the SpaceNavigator would be so much more useful.

Well built, very robust and will probably last forever.
Like most Corsair products it's well built, very robust and will probably last forever.
As ATX PSU's go it's very quiet, runs very cool even with 2x Nvidia GTX970's in SLI and performs superb.
