It really does work!
1 of 1 found this helpful Fitted to a Volvo V50 2.0D. The chip seems to be well made and the package contained everything to complete the job, including comprehensive pictorial instructions. Fitting was easy and took under 10 minutes. From the off, there was a noticeable improvement in performance. The engine was transformed and all the 'lag' it had before was gone - it just constantly feels ready. It did take some getting used to as idle speed has very slightly increased and there is a less engine breaking. Another positive was that the engine seems smoother overall; more refined somehow. However with, all positives comes a negative and that is economy. On my first tank full with the chip fitted, I was 50miles short of my usual and consistent mpg. To be fair, some of this may have been down to my right foot enjoying the new performance but nonetheless it was less mpg. Verdict: If you want to improve your performance and drivability then this is for you but beware as you may be a little more out of pocket in relation the mpg! (I do believe the claims that this can improve economy by effectively altering the gearing, i.e maybe you can use 4th to ascend a hill rather than before having to use 3rd and thus lower revs, but this kind of defeats the object of the extra bhp doesn't it? ) overall a good buy for a good price and i would recommend this upgrade to all petrol heads who want a bit more umph!

Not quite OEM as the heater connection should point downwards. Didn't fit it in the end and went for oem

Really good value for money
Purchased as 'bias' lighting for the rear of the TV and it does a great job. Seems like good quality considering the price. Only negative is that the glue could be better under stress areas, such as corners, but superglue fixed that. Would definitely recommend.
