As you would expect from Knipex
These are built to last. Made in Germany, not China. There are cheaper ones available but I try to buy things that will last and aren't throw away. The teeth and gripping area are very strong and after using them for the first week after buying them they are still in tact and not falling apart or leaving bits still attached to the nuts. That is the sign of a good tool. The grips are good, maybe I should have got the rubberised ones as they get filthy due to the job I am working on at the moment. But they clean up pretty easily and haven't come off. Another sign of something being well made. There is a safety mechanism on these and it means they have been designed so the 2 handles won't ever touch when you close them up, so you won't trap your fingers in them!

My review
The lamp itself is great. It is very well built and should last a good few years if looked after and stored correctly.
Once you have assembled it and added the mantles and burned them in simply add fuel, pump it up and then light it. It's very bright and the top of it can get very hot, so don't touch it. Consider buying some extra mantles and a long reach one click lighter. In the USA you can buy plastic carry cases for these lamps, a few places in the UK carry them but not many, I would consider buying one to protect the lamp.
This lamp can run on unleaded petrol or white gas as they call it in the USA The unleaded petrol works fine, but long term it starts to block the generator tube up which means the lamp won't work. In the UK look to buy a fuel called Aspen 4, it's the same as petrol but with a lot of the nasty additives removed.
Before you do anything, read the instructions and learn how to pump the fuel and light it.
