Don't waste your money on this

This stuff is garbage. It doesn't lather. I followed the directions on the container with both a cloth and a sponge and it doesn't lather at all. It's kinda like crumbly feta cheese. The leather I tried to use it on is still stiff as a board and now it's greasy on top of that. Absolutely worthless.

Pricey but worth it

First off this took a noticeably better edge than any other machete I've ever sharpened. It was reasonably sharp out of the box but I made it sharper. Fit & finish are near-perfect and the walnut handle is both comfortable and beautiful. Much more expensive than most other machetes on the market, but in this case you indeed get what you pay for.
