Is it worth the money? In a word no. What you end up with is a reversing camera only fitting the other multimedia equipment would be a nighmare!
Upon opening the box there are no written instructions you have to download them. Fitting this to a Vauxhall insignia 2011 saloon was a complete nightmare. The downloaded instructions were very vague and showed a completely different dashboard than that of the Vauxhall insignia which is what this product is intended for making the removal of the dashboard very difficult indeed. Once you remove the dashboard and the CD unit and plugged in the p&p lead which comes with this kit there is then the fight to get the CD unit back in as the plugs which come with the plug and play lead make it very difficult to find enough room to enable the CD player to be reinserted. There is no instruction as to where to place the interface, since there is an abundance of cable you would guess maybe it should sit in the glove box, thats considering you want to strip down the glove box to install it in there. I managed to install mine above the ash tray once i found enough space for all the extra wire. Fixing the rear camera was also a nightmare as there is no route for the camera cable through the rear bulk head you have to pass the cable under the car and make a hole in a plastic gromet near the spare wheel thats provided your camera has enough cable otherwise you will need to purchase camera extention cables. If you wanted the all singing all dancing multimedia setup that this interface is capable of, fitting it and finding space to install it in the Vauxhall insignia would be impossible unless you install everything in the glove box, even then you would likely end up with a rats nest of cables in the glove box as there is no room for much behind the dashboard.

Easy to assemple
Partly assembled the only task is to fit the larger components such as the coils, transistors, and push buttons not forgetting the link cable and sockets for the LCD panel. The PCB board is of good quality and once built and powered up it just works perfectly. Unlike some pre built transmitters that continuously tune this one asks that you pick a frequency using the LCD display then you have to turn the power off and then back on again for before the transmitter will send a carrier wave on the desired frequency. This is not a problem and is actually a good design since the oscillator phase locked loop is part of the main transmitter board and is not contained on the LCD board, this means you can lengthen the cable connectors of the LCD board without the worry of causing interference like pops, hisses, or bangs over the transmitter carrier wave. All in all this is a very nicely designed transmitter that can be used as a community radio station or as an exciter for a much larger RF amplifier. There is even the added play to air SD card socket that allows you to record your radio show onto an micro SD card and then simply push the card in to start playing the contents over the air. Simple.
