What have Sony done?
I would expect better of Sony. The sound quality is absolutely terrible. The output is tinny and all in the high end of the audio spectrum. It almost made my ears bleed! If you value your hearing, do not buy these. Blame Sony for an utterly useless product. If you would rather go deaf or not hear a woman screaching at you, buy them. They are sure to cancel that noise out easily.

Could be better
I bought this for the size of the drivers, to cover my ears, not sit on them and was happy to buy them. After some 2 years of use, here is my verdict. The driver supports, which are detachable and therefore replaceable if you can find any, has the fabric coming away from the inside, exposing the foam on the inside. The microphone is of poor quality. Lots of background static which is intrusive when you are using it. It has also started to drop down of its own accord also. This really should have been a better quality item. I have tried lots of ways to get rid of the static. They can be folded down to a compact size which is very handy. Build quality is good overall. Previous headsets (not these ones though) have snapped over the head. No parts available. Would I buy another? Not until those microphones and detachable supports were improved. I expected much better from a major brand like ThermalTake.
