To rigid and snapped

Two out of the four that I bought snapped on trying to put them on the pipes. Made out of a far too rigid material with no flex. The ones that did go on scratched the paint off the pipe as they went on. I know they are cheap but still. It wouldn’t be hard to make it out of a plastic with a little more flexibility in it. Or make them two halves that clip together both sides. Silly design.
