An unpleasant change in formula
I have bought Old Jamaica Ginger Beer in bulk for decades and re-order it regularly on-line. This time I noticed many one-star reviews saying they had changed the recipe and to avoid the product. Whether they were tasting aficionados or just moaning-minnies I didn't know, so I re-ordered. THEY ARE ALL CORRECT. The current formula bears no resemblance to the existing stocks I still have, and quite honestly I find it unpleasant to drink. I have put the 23 remaining cans outside my from door with a note for the newspaper girl & postman to help themselves, They went quickly at first, but even free of charge the last few still remain.

I replaced my Alligator chain
My Black & Decker Alligator GK1050 is the best DIY tool I have ever bought. Advertised to cut branches up to 4" I regularly use it to deal with trunks up to 10", and in nearly two decades the chain has never been sharpened.. Of late the chain keeps jumping from its track more and more frequently. It is self-tensioning, but I wondered if it was because the chain was loose - in short, had it stretched beyond the self-adjusting limit? Side by side, the new one looked superficially the same as the old one, but on installation you could see the self-tensioner still has about 2 mm to travel. Yes, the old chain had un-perceptibly stretched. I am now back in full swing with the tool that I love. Treat your Alligator to a new chain.
