Beautiful coin!

I’m not a hardcore collector and I buy coins for the artistic value. I find French silver coins to be some of the most creative and this one is particularly beautiful. The detail is lovely for a coin of this age, with the ears of wheat having great sharpness and the braids of hair being prominent on the obverse. The reverse is also very clearly detailed, with the motto, the wreath, and the 5 francs noted. I really love this coin and it’s currently one of my favorites. If you can find one in this good of condition, you’ll be fortunate.
