1 of 1 found this helpful I've had one for a few years but never used it for email as it works out quite expensive but you could set it to make an email call just once per week which wasn't to bad. However its recently gone faulty and I wanted to get another one but after some research I found that the current models (if you can get them)can only be set to email once per day which bumps up the cost considerably so I'm not bothering. Its a shame because as a telephone / answering machine I would give it a definite five star rating.
Update Aug 2011. Amstrad have now discontinued the email service, so this can now be used as a normal phone without incurring any email charges.

Disappointing.
The Spring clamp was not strong enough to support the weight of the flexible arm. I had to buy a separate screw clamp to support it. The first time I fixed a camera to the arm the plastic fitting disintegrated.

Allowed me to operate my cctv recorder from another room.
