Jimi - All Is By My Side (DVD, 2015) Brand New & Sealed Region 4 DVD - Free Post

Ridiculous title, misleading film.

Very well executed reproduction of the 60's, however a very appalling mistreatment of our guitar hero Jimi Hendrix who never attacked his women in any jealous rage. He never smashed Kathy Etchingham in the face with a telephone handset as seen in this movie. I'm a big fan of JIMI Hendrix, but the producers of this travesty need to recall it and re-shoot. They should tell the truth, but with this film they could be hit with a Libel lawsuit.

Unusual track Omission.

I'm a big fan of Winwood and have been ever since the Spencer Davis Group got him to sing vocals for them on their huge hit "I'm a Man". That was followed by "Gimme some Lovin", another iconic pop song of the mid 60's. There are 5 SDG singles on this CD, however all of them are MONO versions. I know there are stereo versions of these songs, I would have preferred the producer to use those. The Traffic tunes are all in fantastic stereo quality and should be heard with headphones, or really LOUD on HI FI speakers. Only one track from Blind Faith. I really like the track from Kebaka/Amao/Winwood, reminded me very much of Osibisa. One of the main reasons I clicked on the Buy it now button was track 16, "Time is Running Out", one of my all time favorite Winwood tracks from his eponymous album. This track is listed on the rear cover, and on the disc itself....but it's NOT on the disc at all. Someone at ISLAND screwed up. There is only 16 tracks on this CD and TIRO is not one of them. That is a big disappointment. I don't know if subsequent releases of this CD contained the missing track, and I'm not going to buy one to find out. It's still a great CD.

Some great British rock and roll here on this CD.

If you don't have this and you are a fan of Steve Winwood or Traffic, you have to get it.
