It is substantially stiffer to move the switch. This is a engineering problem.

Protects you well, but you need an adaptor!
The ad wasn't clear as to which breathing tube would connect to the 3M S-757 hood. A 3M V-199 Breathing Tube Adapter is needed to join this hood to a threaded air hose coming from the turbine.

Time-Sert Saves Time and Money
When a stainless steel bolt breaks off in an aluminum housing of a boat's lower unit, it's expensive to replace and even more time switching over all the components. With Time-Sert the fragile aluminum threads were replaced with stainless steel- better than OEM!
