Ruin of Stars
Terrific continuation of a strange and compelling story featuring a unique and flawed main character.

A book to change your reality, if you allow it.
I find this series compelling. The humor in it connects it to our world in a way that makes the other realities seem even more present: the silver vein in the black rock. In this particular book our main character matures greatly, as does the ongoing plot. I cannot wait to step into her mind again!

The warrior's version of a historical hero who was a man.
Cornwell's view of the Arthurian legend rings true in the sense of real people going about their lives while building a legend. He certainly challenges our dearly held ideas on what makes a man into a hero. Having loved and lived with a war hero myself I commend his truth and admit freely that it is a thankless task to expose the clay feet of a prized warrior . There are always prices to be paid,aren't there? And so my love's story will die with me.
