Good for 10m band
I have retuned it for 10m and running 100W on FT8 have got to the Canaries plus most of Europe and heard Brazil and Argentina, PSKreporter says they can hear me at -14 dB. So far I have chopped off 11cm of the whip and my DXCommander spreadsheet suggests I have 3cm still to go but it's well usable with the internal tuner. I am using 8x3m wire radials as a ground plane on the lawn and getting 1:1.25 SWR but I still have some tuning to do. Using with an Icom 7300.
Currently, the cut also gives me the upper UK CB band at 1:1 SWR.
By default. before cutting, the antenna was tuned at approximately 26.64 MHz, a bit low in my opinion.
Good simple design with no coils.
