German quality did not live up to expectations-thin material small flex only-probably not showerproof
My previous PIR sensor had FAILED. It had been a solid waterproof chunky design with thick cables controlling two outside wall lanterns (with their PIRs removed BUT eventually the PIR sensor had failed
This German design seemed very stylish from the photos.
However
It was made of flimsy plastic and the design made me doubt that it was even showerproof IP44 so I took additional measures to improve water resistance.
The internal connectors were suitable only for very lightweight wiring.
The instructions were in a booklet very small font size so I didn't read them. Wiring is obvious anyway.
HOWEVER - after fitting, the unit has worked totally satisfactorily. Good angle of coverage and level of sensitivity.

Is there a need for a long telephone cable?
YES.
I have a wall mounted phone near kitchen and dining room and the old flex was often stretched to the limit (especially by visitors) such that I was concerned the phone and wall sockest could be damaged. With this coiled cable (which simply hangs down when not in use) the handset can be used at the dining table, at the laptop (a few times) , while at work in the kitchen etc etc
It is such a cheap component and it just about eliminates any risk of damaging the socket at the phone or the BT wall socket.

The essential handbook for those interested in Marklin HO/OO possibly the greatest toymake ever.
In the past I have occasionally acquired smaller Koll guides covering certain categories of Marklin Ho products only.
This edition is the COMPLETE guide. As should be the case with all reference books which are used frequently - it is hard bound. It renders my earlier guides obsolete since it covers everything and is up to date.
Having said this, I do not intend to get this every year since one can make adjustments for revised price values of the listed products in the future.
It is indispensible if you want to know what was produced (including special series/limited editions), when, where (eg Swedish market only etc) The listed values seem about right.
It represents excellent value for money - about 8cm thick packed with information. The only facts not quoted were production quantities - maybe this is simply not known...
