The iconic Beo4 remote
I purchased this device second hand and it arrive promptly and well packaged.
However I noted some battery crud near the bottom spring which suggests that a leak had occurred and a dropped line in the lcd text. Being technically minded and checking service documentation ( can be downloaded once you register) I was able to safely clean off the crud (white vinegar and q tips) and used electrical contact spray to get the connections going again. Not specific to this device but all older remotes suffer some form of aging.
Anyway the rest of the setup is easy and quite logical but does require a bit of study of documentation available on Beotech.
It is an extremely versatile and programmable device specifically for B&O equipment. there is a learning curve but reading up about the philosophy behind the linking of the devices does help. A one stop shop basically.
Solid metal case, ergonomically balanced, logical grouping of buttons and major functions all within a few key presses. The screen helps initially till it becomes second nature and that's what it is all about
