Golden Girls Crime Bust in the Country
This is a very very funny book with senior sleuths, like the Golden Girls. I enjoyed the two older women, BFF's, who chase down the crooks. Great characters! Wish they were my best friends. Moves fast and was a great read that made me laugh out loud. Recommend this book to anyone who likes humor in their mysteries and colorful southern country characters or books by folksy writers like Fannie Flagg.

Humor and Mystery - Southern Easy Laugh Out Loud Mystery
Lordie, this book was funnier than the first book in the series, Ghost Busting Mystery. The dialogue bubbles with wit and the small town where the action takes place reminds me of Mayberry. I am in love with the two snoppy older women sleuths. They are just like me and my best friend riding around in a 60s Chevy and getting into all sorts of mayhem. Original, fresh, funny crime comedy at it's best. I LOVE this book. Here's an example: "Fergus Goens Senior owed Veenie forty-plus years of child support for their oldest son, Fergie Junior, who was holed up in my cellar next to my canned goods. He slept all day and roamed the house all night like a sick possum. He had two college degrees in musicology. Some talent and not a spit bit of ambition." Get ready to laugh. These old ladies are Lucy and Ethel redux!

Joe Pickett Great Mysteries
This was, per usual, a great read. I love this series and Joe Pickett. In this one he again faces his demons and develops new connections while helping restore order to the world. I am now hooked on this series and eager to read the other books going forward.
