Quickest way to get to the phone
2 of 2 found this helpful I always have trouble getting to the phone before it goes to the answering machine, but as I always carry my mobile in my pocket this unit solves the problem. It avoids using call forwarding and also allows me to make calls on the landlines using my mobile. It is really easy to set up too.
I like the way it only needs a WiFi connection and I don't have to pay for a voice over IP service. As a bonus, if you want, you can register and then receive and make landlines calls even when you are away from home. It also tells you if you have missed a call when you are still out.

Lots of uses
I made up a dry mix for ginger sponge pudding using this and powdered egg instead of wet ingredient so it stores for a long time. You just add water and stir well, then cook in the microwave. My wife thought it tasted better than made with butter (We had a blind trial). Much better quality than packet sponge mixes. Great to make a sponge pudding for one person. Mix and cook it in a mug. Takes one minute to prepare and one minute to cook. An extra minute if you like hot custard using a pot of ready-made custard. The only downside is that it is more expensive than butter.
