  This turned out to be a positive experience. It was promptly shipped, and was well packaged. It shipped surprisingly fast from Hawaii to Houston even with Hurricane Beryl intervening. It arrived a bit more kit like than I expected, not a good thing with Kato steamers and old eyes and lowered dexterity, thanks to the USPS. He was willing to compensate for the inconvenience and everything turned out well.

  This car arrived well protected by the packaging. The seller had added weights to the car but in all other respects it appears to be brand new. Its prototype was built in 1918 so it will be a very good addition to my 1950s layout. I like this car very much.
