Grandaughter wanted this and nothing else would do.
The house was in new condition but the chandelier did not work. We put this together Christmas eve so it would be assembled for Christmas morning. Everything was in order except for that. All other parts worked as they should. She has a friend that had this so she knew everything about its features. It was just a little disappointing that we paid so much for this as it was no longer available as a current model and then a piece failed to function right out of the box. The second day the insert on the bottom of the elevator that holds the string in place broke and I glued it in so that it would continue to work. It is typical of the Barbie house line in that it is all plastic. My granddaughter has another Doll house constructed of wood that we actually paid less for and is a much better product. Were it not for the fact that this six year old wanted this one we would not have purchased it. So you please a child and spend a little more than is necessary but she is happy.
