The heat is on…
A comprehensive and informative book with a very interesting history of spices. The book is well written and provides a wonderful reference selection on spices with a mix of recipes for use with the ingredients listed. Being a hard back book makes it a well made and robust book to keep for regular use and interesting browsing.

Good value, good looking trellis planters.
This is a lovely sized item which whilst being lighter in weight than expected, is still very nicely produced and easy to assemble. It has been painted sufficiently as to not require any additional paint unless for aesthetic purposes and looks attractive in style. It is nicely proportioned and the trellis allows for ease of use in feeding climbing plants up the supports. The trough is deep enough for plants requiring shallow to medium depth of planting and will lend itself very nicely to the use of annuals and bedding plants or even herbs. It comes with a loose fit liner needed to house growing medium and has drainage holes in situ in the liner which is of a decent black polythene and of the correct shape and fit for the trough.
I bought two of the trellis planters knowing I was taking a risk because they were ‘sight unseen’ but I can happily state that they are value for money and worth purchasing. I’m delighted with my purchases and would recommend these trellis planters to other gardeners looking to buy.
