You pay for what you get as a smart switch
The clipsal iconic switch mechanisms are far from cheap, but are extremely reliable when used with rhe Wiser Hub.
The relatively traditional wiring requirements makes them easy to add or remove as required and from a home owner/visitor they appear just like a traditional switch
For Western Australian residents with brick walls and electrical wall boxes, the mechanism requires deep wall boxes 157/1PRMD. If you are considering a new build with brick construction ensure that they supply this - it is not a standard request and can be performed in single leaf brick. Cavity walls provide plenty of space for the deep switch mechanisms to be installed.
They do require that the neutral wire is available at the wall box (typically not a standard requirement), so retro fitting may require a new cable to be installed.
