A linguistic study disguised with much humor!
I expected this book to be funny and it is. Mr. Santiago is obviously a very funny guy, but he has obviously spent a lot of time thinking seriously about Spanglish. So interspersed with the humor are careful observations that surprised and delighted this armchair linguist.

One of the most thought-provoking books I've ever read. A gem!
This is one of the most fascinating and thought-provoking books I have ever read. No matter how you feel about animals, Herzog will challenge you to reexamine your views. You will wonder why your thoughts were so irrational.
It is easy to read–not full of psychological jargon. Herzog obviously spent years preparing to write this gem.

An easy way to take this important mineral
This is my preferred way to take calcium. At my age, I need lots of it, and I hate taking so many pills. For breakfast I have fresh fruit with granola or cereal. I measure out the calcium and mix with milk (regular, soy, rice) or diluted yogurt. The calcium mixes easily, is not gritty and it has no taste. Done! No choking down horse-size pills.
