Beautiful, simple efficiency
1 of 1 found this helpful It just works. Beautifully, simply, efficiently. Takes up a tiny amount of space in the drawer. It's robust, easy to clean. It doesn't switch itself off when you turn round to find another ingredient, like my last one. It can also cope with my 2kg ceramic mixing bowl, which the last one barely managed. The only teeny tiny sour note was that you need a teeny tiny screwdriver to open up the battery compartment. Who has teeny tiny screwdrivers? Not me. I think I ended up using the tip of some very sharp nail scisors to open it.

Thin slices, no fuss.
Thin bread knives are the way forward. This one is simple, good steel, cuts thin slices in home-made bread with no fuss or crumbling. Seems to be built to last, as you'd expect from a branded Japanese knife. I hope it will be the last bread knife I ever need to buy.
