Lake House
1 of 1 found this helpful Great for a girlie night in but be prepared to watch it again - the time lapse in the story gets a little confusing - and that little dog isn't affected! But it's lovely and warm and merits a place in my cabinet. Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves make a great team and although a little mushy, this is a pleasant change and definitely worth watching.

Mission without Permission
Wonderful kids adventure film. My 10 year old and five grandkids loved and watched it again and again especially the go-cart chases. Nice moral to the story with action more or less all the way through.

Joseph - King of Dreams
I bought this dvd because I am replacing all my videos (to save space) and because the digital format is much better to watch. If you are familiar with the original story in the Bible, then this is not too bad. Obviously some scenes have been elaborated upon and some important points not accurate enough. If you compared it with the 'Prince of Egypt' then it lacks the compelling force of the music and special effects. But saying that, the story of Joseph is not as dramatic in content, but thrilling and emotive, so definitely worth watching. I would recommend reading the account in the Bible (Genesis Chapters 37 and 39 - 49) to get the full flavour then watching the film - definitely one for my collection.
