Mounting Bracket Mystery

The Double Din Fascia is probably fine but lack of instructions of how the head unit metal mounting bracket is intended to be used let the kit down. I searched the internet and reached out to mini owner groups but nobody could give any advice.
In the end I had to purchase an alternative Mini R56 Double Din Fascia kit which came with complete instructions, all the correct mounting brakets and a blanking plate for where the old stereo fitted in the speedometer.
Do your research and you will find that the kit offering the blanking plate is the best option for the R56 Double Din installation.
