GPS on my Amazon Fire 8 HD tablet
1 of 1 found this helpful Fire 8 HD tablet doesn't have GPS but wanted to use in my Jeep. Tethering GPS from phone to tablet didn't seem to work well, but this does. On start up is slow to acquire satellite lock, usually 5-10 min, but after it gets lock it tracks really well. Had to use the app called Bluetooth GPS Provider on the tablet. Set mock location to Bluetooth GPS Provider, in the app preferences, set the GPS Connect Method to Secure and the GPS Type to SiRF.
