Good cord for iPhone charging
These are generic iPhone/Ipad cords. I received a package of 3, seemed well constructed at first. I tested all 3 for charging and they all charged both an Iphone 5s and an iPad Air. However, none of the cords would connect either the iPhone or iPad to a computer. They seem to be adequate only for charging but not for data transfer. In contrast, my Apple branded cords have no problem connecting either device to my PC. Also, the small connector end covers slip off easily, so one has to be careful when disconnecting the cord from your device. Overall a decent value if all you need is a spare cord for charging, but don't expect it to be fully functional like a higher quality cord.

Epic Fail Due to Poor Shipping Package ... but has Potential!
Here's another potentially good EL panel with inverter but it's totally undermined by extremely poor packaging which guarantees damage in shipment. I ordered 5 of these, they arrived taped together in thin plastic bags with NO protection whatsoever ... all 5 panels were damaged beyond use with creases, damaged EL substrate causing black spots on illumination, scratches, and folds. Ship these panels correctly in a cardboard box with bubble wrap or foam insulation and you'll have a winner of an EL panel package.
The good (EL Panel): generally well constructed EL panel (when properly made, see the bad items below), electrodes fairly heavy duty for this size EL panel should mean good longevity in service, EL substrate appears well applied resulting in a good uniform light quality ... on those panel that are properly protected in shipping and correctly manufactured.
The bad (EL Panel): some variations in construction shown in the 5 examples I purchased (one had metal shavings contamination under the laminate, one had uneven / not-square edge cuts, two panels had peeling laminate near the electrodes), very poor packaging consisting only of the inverter and EL panel in a this plastic bad with no protection at all (even if put into a cardboard shipping box, chances are the loose/unprotected inverter will scratch the EL panel)
The good (included inverter): sealed epoxy construction should mean good longevity in service, accepts a wide range of input voltage allowing for a wide range of illumination level on the EL panel, cigar lighter adapter included for use in 12V automobile systems, seems to be tolerant of over voltage well above 12V, nice long leads for flexible installation options with good insulation
The bad (included inverter): both electrically noisy and audibly noisy, noticeable electrical interference on nearby radio equipment (might be corrected by proper grounding and/or adding a noise suppression capacitor to the installation), audible "whine" becomes very noticeable at input voltages above 12V.
Overall evaluation: fix the shipping problems and improve the quality control and you'll have a great EL panel/inverter package for the money!

Light Duty Alligator Clips
1 of 1 found this helpful These are fine for the money, but not the best quality for heavy use. The rubber clip covers have a bit too much silicone in them meaning they are slippery. I find the clips sometimes pop out of my hands when I an trying to open the jaws. But, you get a lot of pieces for the money, and with some care, you can get used to the slippery covers. Perfect for the occaisional user but not recommended for heavy commercial use.
