My home is on the picturesque Isle of Man, home of Manx Cats, Wallabies, TT motorbike races, fairies & all sorts of mythical beasts like the Glashan. Over the years here we have accumulated so much junk & treasure, so we are now thinning this out.

Chances of anything coming from Mars? 1M to 1 they said
This CD has been in my collection longer than I care to mention - it was "borrowed" by one of my daughters when she was fourteen and seven years later she still has it! We have other versions but I still like coming back to this one - it makes regular guest appearances in my car and on my i-pod! From 'The Eve of War' where we hear that "The Chances of Anything Coming From Mars are a million to one, they said"; the haunting melodies of lost love in 'Forever Autumn'; the dramatic sea battle of 'Thunder Child'; the hopeful chorus of 'The Spirit of Man', to the soldier's dream of a 'Brave New World' and the haunting visions created by the final Epilogue - these all go to create an enjoyable and very memorable musical experience. I highly recommend this album to everyone!

For hardcore aging punk rockers and Manson fans only ..
The only redeeming features on this album are Sallys Song by Amy Lee and perhaps Oogie Boogie's Song by Rodrigo Y Gabriela but even these cannot save the whole album. Although there are a few orchestral tracks (which should have had vocals but for some reason didnt get them, I must admit disappointment overall with the whole thing. My daughter played this to me in the car (via her ipod) and said that she had thought about giving me the CD to listen to while I was driving, but decided not to torture me... and because it probably would have accidentally frisbee'ed out of the car window at some stage (most probably to the strained strains of Jack & Sally's duet at the end finale!). The emotions of most of the singers are either bland or totally absent ... some even sound as if they were made to sing their parts as a punishment! If you are a hardcore Manson fan or one of the original Punk Rockers (from its roots the first time around, circa 35 years ago when punk rock was hard core, foul-mouthed, discordant and very anti-any musical abilities or rules) then maybe you'd enjoy this ... but if you loved the original film music and are hoping to hear something similar, then you'll be really disappointed. Should you be considering buying this then I recommend that you list to a few sample tracks first. The album is definitely not to my taste, but someone out there probably loves it ... good luck to them! Personally I think it's frisbee time.

A great collection of classics, remixes and new tracks
Another great collection of 17 great tracks, many remastered and updated for this 2001 album. There's something for all Chris De Burgh fans here in a mix that samples many of his classics, like Lady in Red and Ferryman, and features four "new" tracks - Really New: Two Sides to Every Story, Remixes: Missing You, Patricia the Stripper and I want it (I want it NOW). Spot the differences - they are there if you listen! What else is on this CD .... Track listing: 1. Don't Pay The Ferryman 2. Missing You 2001 3. Fatal Hesitation 4. Ship To Shore 5. Lady In Red 6. When I Think Of You 7. Sailing Away 8. Two Sides To Every Story 9. Tender Hands 10. Spaceman Came Travelling 11. I Want It (And I Want It Now) (DJ Q-Ball remix) 12. Patricia The Stripper 2000 13. Borderline 14. Say Goodbye To It All 15. Where Peaceful Waters Flow 16. This Waiting Heart 17. High On Emotion A good, updated mix. Obviously there are newer CDs nowadays - but for those of us who bought this one back in 2001, it's still brilliant and makes great listening. Enjoy!
