A tale of two David Copperfields!
Overall, this version is very good, with an amazing cast. It is well made, though (obviously) misses various characters and scenes from the book in order to simplify and shorten the production. The film is in two halves, with the first half focussing on DC's early life. Daniel Radcliffe plays the role excellently, supported by typically brilliant actors such as Ian McKellen and Maggie Smith. However, the second half features a chap called Ciaran McMenamin as David, and this is where it falls down. His 'acting' lacks passion of any kind and drains each scene of emotion. You can almost sense the other actors trying to hold the thing together. The direction seems to falter and the ending is hurried. It's such a shame as this could have become an absolute classic if they'd cast a better actor. As I say, it's good but could have been so much better!

Very useful!
1 of 1 found this helpful Pretty easy to assemble, is lightweight but stable, does the job. We've used it many times already and haven't had to dry damp washing on radiators! Would have given 5 stars but the control knob is a bit fiddly to reach and you have to bend right down to see/use it, which may not be ideal for elderly folk. Otherwise, a handy little machine.

So far so good!
0 of 1 found this helpful Bought this to make my life easier when making larger pieces (I make ornaments and 'curios' from recycled/reclaimed wood) and this piece of equipment has so far been excellent. It is far cheaper than the alternative ones (mainly available from the USA, so incurs huge p&p cost) and as far as I'm concerned it works just as well..
It fits neatly to the angle grinder and removes 'waste' wood easily - just the job, thank you!
,,,now I need the sanding disk to go with it.
