well researched, informative work & visually stunning.
i have only recently started to buy noritake items, & quickly realised that there was a lot of 'background' that i needed to know. this book explains some of the finer points - the confusing backstamps, the company history and export expansion into the U.S. and europe, as well as illustrating with many fine colour photos the stylistic range that noritake produced.
i now feel that i begin to understand the elements that make noritake unique and by studying this informative work i shall buy pieces with added confidence.
the other books which i have recently bought on noritake deal with an american perspective of the subject - which is different from the european, chiefly british, view.this volumes's eurocentric angle explains some things which before i had found confusing.
in conclusion: i found this to be an enjoyable, informative book with superb colour plates.

crafting super glue
2 of 2 found this helpful problem: to attach heavy tasselled trim to the edge of a polygonal silk lampshade.
this glue managed it - with initially the aid of pins - beautifully.
it dries clear, leaving no evidence of its presence. it holds tight -the trim is permanently fixed.
