Great Lightweight Scope
1 of 1 found this helpful After dropping and breaking my 30 yr old Redfield scope, I decided on this Leupold VX-3i 3.5x10x40. This scope weighs 5 ounces less than the Redfield scope it replaced. The lighter weight is much appreciated at my age. Lens clarity is great from edge to edge. Windage & Elevation adjustment knobs were tight to turn, but adjusted fine at the range and sighted in very quickly. Parallax on this scope is set to 150 yards and close objects won't focus sharply, but no problem since most shots for me will be between 40 to 300 yards.
I also own a Leupold VarX III 2x7x8 from 1983 which is a fantastic scope and gives me the confidence that this one will hold up just fine.
PROS: Simple & Lightweight design. Easy power adjustment ring. Lens clarity is fantastic. No tools needed to make adjustments.
CONS: So far none.
