A surprisingly good quality, well-reproduced older movie.Great scenery.
The Heroes of Telemark movie was surprisingly 'fresh' and of very good quality, despite having been originally made in the 1960's. The snow-covered scenery is attractive.
A true story worth knowing about. However there is some producer's license used in adding in some 'romantic' interest (with Kirk Douglas of course) which is not in the story I read about the real deal. There are other embellished parts, such as the saboteur group coming under German fire as they escaped. In the real account, this did not happen. They got away unseen.

Churchill's bodyguard
This TV series is based very closely on the book by the same name, with narration of some of Thompson's stories and archival footage accompanying some of them. An interesting history lesson spread over 25 years. But if you want the full story and a lot more of the entertaining and amusing stories, read the book!
