ESSENTIAL LISTENING!
I bought this album as I have always heard Mr Brightside on the radio, which is a mighty fine song. I put the album on expecting no other songs that come up close to it and how wrong I was. I am really kicking myself I did not buy this sooner. Most of the songs have also been on the radio, and it is an album where you keep saying 'I didnt know they/who did that' The biggest surprise is the absolute genius of 'All of those things that I've done' a boring title for a song of complete perfection 'I've got soul but I'm not a soldier' you bet BUY IT!

Try to get better than OK Computer
I bought this album to get into the sounds of the live show I had seen a few days previously. The show was weird ,wonderful, but too big to digest in one chunk. I had previously gone head over heeels with OK computer, but lost my way with Kid A, and couldn't even contemplate Insomnia- how can you beat a classic and should you even try? this album tries very hard to get back to the formula, but doesn't quite do it. Overcomplexity muddles the ideas, with occasional breaks for clarity. at the same time i bought In Rainbows- you should too!! The complexity is a very very good thing , but the music is also very very clear. This is the true succesor to Ok Computer and daresay it is even better, but i'll let you find out. As for the live show it's starting to make sense as a result! regards phil grangepharmacy
