Well-made product and a clever design, but has limitations
1 of 1 found this helpful The inclinometer works well in certain conditions (standing still or coasting downhill), but it is inherently difficult to measure incline when pedaling up a hill. The movement of the bike and the acceleration with each pedal stroke tends to distort the reading. If you really want to know how steep a particular hill is, it's best to stop the bike and read the incline while stationary. You can also get a reasonably accurate reading when coasting DOWN the hill (as long as the road is fairly smooth), though the acceleration on a steep hill will also create an error in the reading. Not the fault of the product, really, just an inherent problem with measuring incline while moving. All in all, this product works pretty well as long as you understand the limitations.
