All McQueen
1 of 1 found this helpful Next to Thomas Crown, his character is superb, believable, and quite "cool." McGraw would NOT be my choice for the heroine...maybe another Dunaway portrayal? The action is superb.
Favorite scene...the train station scam that almost is too thought out to be true, but is so tense.

"Me Too" ala 1968 POTM
2 of 2 found this helpful I had to have this issue for the simple fact I was in Westpac when it came out, in the USA, and missed it. Then I read somewhere that the gorgeous centerfold, Paige Young, POTM actually committed suicide over two key men in her brief life. Would you believe that it was none other than Bill Cosby and Hugh Heffner.
When you see the talent, artistically, she had along with her absolutely 10+ features, it is shocking.
I am glad I bought it, so that I can remember her for the first time I saw her, rather than the horrible ending I had read about. Her looks are a collector's dream

"Less Today Than Yesterday"
Look, the 60's changed music more than anyone might think. It was not the Beatles, the Stones, nor the Beach Boys...it was an unknown inventor whose last name was Moog! It was cumbersome and so unique, an actor named James Coburn (of movie fame) owned one.
Montenegro, wishing to show he could master this computerized "monster" he released an album recorded in RCA's Music Center of the World titled "Moog Power" which was a synth/chorus gem.
Montegegro,, on this disc, recorded a hit by the Spiral Staircase entitled "More Today Than Yesterday." He did an arrangement that was faithful to the original hit, but with the strange sounds of this electronic plaything, the Moog Synth. For whatever reason, RCA put out a multi album compilation that contains every song of the original "Moog Power" except, you've guessed it, Upton's classic "More Today..."
So if for NO other reason, own a pure version of the "Moog Power" and play it in the sequence it was meant to be played. If that is not enough, McQuinn/Clark's "You Showed Me" will sell this gem. You'll have something No One else has!
