A book about the power of friendship and the strength of human spirit
This amazing true story can be quite difficult to read at times due to the levels of violence and fear described. BUT - perhaps strangely - it restores my faith in humanity and the power of people to help and support each other. These 2 men suffered terribly during their captivity and sometimes grew close to total despair - but each time one of them reached that point, the other found the strength within to support their comrade. One of the best books I have ever read!! I’ve read it twice and had to buy it again after hearing them in conversation on radio 4.

Brilliant children’s books
These are lovely books- just as I would expect from Michael Rosen. My nephew loves them.
