The best children's author ever
Frank Richards wrote so many superb stories it is difficult to list your favourites. Also under the name of Martin Clifford and several others, he was - and still is - the best children's author ever.
Billy Bunter has survived for over 100 years. I very much doubt that there will be somebody writing a review on a Harry Potter book in 100 years time.

Cannot stop watching this drama.
This superb drama, together with all the characters, bring back very happy memories for me, and even the catchy signature tune is impossible to stop humming to one's self.

Top Performances
1 of 1 found this helpful I remember taking my daughters to see this at the cinema. There was nothing else on and we thought this would be good enough.
It turned out to be our favourite film of the year and we couldn't stop talking about it afterwards so, of course, when it was released on DVD we had to have it.
Top performances from all the actors, but particularly from Chandeep Uppal who plays Meena, who has to listen to her parents rants about their way of life, while getting used to her friend Anita who teaches her about the teenager's way of life, with the phrasebook to go with it.
The best laugh is when Meena performs a dance for her family to a popular tune at the time, then explains that it is her favourite record. "I could shag the arse off it," she tells them enthusiastically.
While her adventures contine she writes it all down in her diary, producing the story for publication in a magazine.
An enjoyable film, like Bend It Like Beckam.
