Limited applications....
Mixed thoughts about this timer. Finding a 7 day mechanical timer is tough, because most people need a repeated, 24 hour cycle i.e. lights on and off at the same times each day. A timer like this is needed when there are some days where the lights or whatever should be on, and other days when they should be off, or on at a different time. The space on the dial is naturally limited, so programming is not as flexible as it is on an electronic or 24 hour timer. That being the case, the shortest time span for one state to another (i.e. on to off) is 2 hours, VS 30 or 15 minutes minutes for a 24 hour timer.
That is acceptable in the application for which it was purchased. The biggest drawback is the limited current rating of the timer.
Many if not most timers are rated 15 amps/1875 watts resistive (like a heater) or 1500 watts Tungsten (standard bulb). The switch contacts on this unit are rated at less than half that - maximum load is 7.2 Amps, or 900 watts, or a 1/3 hp motor.
Check the current rating on the device that you plan to plug into the timer. If it is POSSIBLE that the load could exceed the rating of the timer (as in the heater _could_ be turned on at 1500 watts, not just 900) DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE because the contacts will hot handle the load. It would be a fire hazard.
The other issue is that the timer has an ungrounded, two prong plug. You can not use devices that have a ground plug (3 prong) on them with this timer. Do not use a cheater/ground lift adapter with this timer.

Excellent ink
I use a lot of ink, and always use Pelikan blue. It is a good reliable ink. The savings when bought in the liter bottle are significant compared to the cost of 20 individual, 50 ml bottles. Just refill the small bottle from this one. Its well worth the up front cost.

I like it....
1 of 1 found this helpful I was looking for a bag to carry a few items, like a couple of books and maybe a pad and pens, but didn't want something very big, nor small enough to be a "man bag ," that could be confused with a purse. Not my style. I also wanted genuine leather, something that would last and wear well. I liked the buckles VS snaps to close the flap, and the size looked to be just right.
It arrived quickly, and I'm pleased with the construction. Good solid, oil tanned leather, so it may be water resistant as well, and good stiching. Even the strap and buckles are solid leather and not layered with fabric.
There are two zippered pockets on the inside , which is covered with canvas, which will be handy for carrying flat items. Also two dividers to keep things from rubbing if needed. The size is ideal for a smaller netbook or an 11" laptop. I don't think that my 14" laptop will fit, but I don't intend to use it for that.
Short review: genuine leather, nicely made, nice medium size, what I was looking for, and a good value I like it.
