Nikon D80 Is a Pros dream
3 of 3 found this helpful I recently bought a Nikon D80, after doing some research on the web. I compared it to the D200 and the Canon D30. The D200 added very little to make me want to spend the extra three or four hundred dollars. So..I went with the D80 and I can tell you that my first assignment with D80 for the Buick Golf Tournament in Torrey Pines won my appreciation for this fine piece of photography camera. The colors were spot on, the large display and zoom capability was a great help on checking my exposures. When you turn it on, it comes right on, no delay...and I love the quickness of viewing photos, you push the view button and it pops right up, another...no delay. I'm going to make this simple for all, I fell in love with this camera, if you want more bells and whistles...go with the D200, but if you want a nice camera, that works like a horse, but produces high quality photos....CHOOSE THE D80, and you won't be sorry.

Works fine
My only complaint is that the vertical button doesn't work.
