Would not recommend
Assumed the black section with the slot which is in the middle would reference to the fixing holes and those holes were equal distance. Guess what? No they were not, and 5 drawer fronts later and fixing the handles they were out of alignment! Well that will teach me to measure twice and cut once!
An expensive mistake!!!!
Works on doors, but flimsy and you have to keep checking the adjustment has not slipped. Would not recommend, wil go back to masking tape and pencil.

Best on the market
Easy to use, read out is large and simple. A great aid at the start line, well done Gill a great product.

A great model
A truly inspirational, finely detail model that is light years ahead of some of the disappointing trains from the Hornby stable. The loco captures every detail and the artwork printing detail on the coaches are excellent..
Fitting the coupling are fiddly and time consuming, but once constructed the set makes a brilliant centre piece on the mantle shelf. It is fragile and therefore running is limited. The collector will view it as an investment rather than a working example on their layout. There are reported issue with overheating decoders, but hey there are other chips more reliable than Hornby own on the market - and smaller.
The box is faithful to the original, if a little tight when removing and returning the loco and coaches to their slots. Is it worth the money? This seems to be a gripe with modellers throughout the years - just look at the detail and what it represents and I would say its well worth every penny.
